I believe in storytelling of all shapes and sizes.
Every single person alive is a storyteller. Our lives are made up of two things: stories we tell, and stories we’re told. Some people tell stories badly and misconstrue messages which--you know--cause problems (sometimes wars, sometimes divorces, etc). Other times, when a story is told well, you forget it’s a story altogether and you’re straight-up catapulted into another world. Ripped away from monotonous routine, you find yourself in the middle of another planets warring faction (the one fighting for the rights of the Klingons), or feeling like a dolt for running towards a brick wall into a “secret platform” at Kings Crossing. Those are the types of stories I love to tell. Stories that transport you somewhere--anywhere-- even if it’s only for 6 seconds. Stories that suspend reality. That make you feel like you’ve got a chance to do something with your life. That’s why I believe in storytelling of all shapes and sizes, regardless of medium, regardless of time or date, regardless of cultural bent or political affiliation. Great stories change lives.
Let’s tell a story together.
